Conduct comprehensive company and asset valuations utilizing methodologies such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis, and Precedent Transactions. Prepare detailed valuation reports, presentations, and financial models for both internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze financial statements, market data, and industry trends to support valuations and reporting. Assist with audit and tax-related valuations, including fair value measurements under IFRS/GAAP. Maintain and update valuation models and databases.
Gain exposure to engagements involving intangible business valuations for strategic planning, M&A, financial reporting, tax compliance, restructuring, and corporate strategy. Develop expertise in secondary research, report writing, and detailed financial modeling. Cultivate and maintain strong, productive professional relationships with EY offices worldwide.
Supervise, develop, and mentor junior professionals. Leverage current technology and tools to optimize service delivery and enhance client outcomes.
Possess a postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (CA), or Business, complemented by 6-8 years of relevant professional experience. You should have 2-4 years of direct experience applying valuation techniques like Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), DCF, Income Approach, and market comparables within a business valuation firm, venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, or a corporate finance role (preferably with M&A focus).
Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, including building models from scratch in MS Excel and related software is essential. Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg or Capital IQ is highly desirable. Strong communication and presentation skills are paramount for effectively conveying complex financial information.
Ideal candidates exhibit strong analytical acumen, project management capabilities, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. A willingness and ability to travel as needed is required. Preference will be given to candidates who have achieved or are significantly progressing towards certifications like CFA, ASA, or CPA.
