Join EY's Strategy and Transactions (SaT) – Valuation, Modelling & Economics (VME) team as a Senior Business Valuations professional. This execution-focused role involves the hands-on valuation of complex financial instruments and investments according to IFRS. You will support financial reporting, portfolio valuation, transaction-related engagements, and audit-assist activities, collaborating closely with Managers and Senior Managers.

Execute fair value measurements for complex financial instruments and portfolio investments under IFRS. Develop and maintain detailed valuation models using advanced quantitative techniques like option pricing, Monte Carlo simulations, and DCF analysis. Perform valuations for a wide range of securities, including share-based payments, convertible instruments, derivatives, and contingent consideration.

Support financial reporting and audit-assist engagements, ensuring IFRS compliance (IFRS 2, IFRS 9, IFRS 13, IFRS 3). Prepare robust valuation reports and technical memoranda. Respond effectively to audit queries and internal review feedback, ensuring all conclusions are defensible and audit-ready.

Candidates should possess a CA, ACCA, CFA (or progress towards CFA), or a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in valuation, transaction advisory, quantitative finance, or complex securities valuation, ideally within a Big-4 or leading advisory firm, is required.

Strong practical experience with IFRS-based valuation requirements, particularly IFRS 2 and IFRS 13, is essential. Experience supporting audits or valuation reviews, including preparing audit-ready documentation and interacting with audit teams, is also crucial. Advanced Excel financial modeling skills are a must, with VBA skills being an advantage.
