EY GDS Strategy and Transactions is seeking an Associate Manager for their Restructuring team. This role focuses on assisting clients navigate challenges such as economic shifts, competitive pressures, capital constraints, and operational hurdles. The global network of restructuring professionals at EY, combined with transaction and sector specialists, possesses extensive experience in managing complex in- and out-of-court restructurings. We partner with various stakeholders to provide leadership and practical advice, identifying financial and operational strategies to enhance liquidity, improve profitability, and extract value from underperforming, stressed, and distressed businesses.

Take a leading role in complex and advanced restructuring engagements. Conduct thorough analysis of companies' financial and operational performance. Evaluate financial data to support EY's assessment of stated financial information. Identify liquidity issues and areas of distress, pinpointing opportunities for working capital enhancements. Prepare and review cash flow projection models and business plans. Understand revenue and cost dynamics to propose performance improvement strategies. Perform in-depth qualitative and quantitative research on markets and target companies. Author reports to synthesize and present findings effectively. Measure, monitor, and enhance client service delivery by guiding team members and driving operational excellence.

Candidates should possess hands-on experience in restructuring services, transactional understanding, performance improvement, distressed M&A, and insolvency/bankruptcy. A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis is essential. A deep understanding of company and industry dynamics, economic research, and financial statements is required. Prior experience working with clients in a global context is beneficial. The ability to identify risks and opportunities, assess findings, and communicate insights clearly is crucial. Proven experience interacting with senior client management is expected. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and facilitation skills are necessary. Strong people management and interpersonal skills, coupled with robust written and verbal communication abilities, including presentation development, are vital for success in this role.
