Join EY's M&A Deals team as an Assistant Manager and play a pivotal role in guiding clients through strategic inorganic growth. You'll offer expert advice on acquisitions, market entries, business divestitures, and capital raising. This position involves managing the entire deal lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification through to successful closing.
Our client base is diverse, encompassing mid-sized corporations, international investors, private equity firms, and family offices across various industries. Become an integral part of a leading firm, contributing significantly to the expansion of a dynamic team within EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) M&A division.
Lead client interactions and manage relationships with EYP Global Sector leaders, coordinating closely with onshore teams. Oversee the complete M&A deal process, from origination to closure, including screening, proposal development, pitch book creation, industry and company research, precedent transaction analysis, and Information Memorandum preparation.
Develop and maintain financial (M&A) models, manage a small team of 1-2 individuals, and provide mentorship. Measure and enhance client service quality by collaborating closely with clients and guiding team members to drive service delivery excellence. Focus your team on key priorities while managing multiple projects and ensuring quality service delivery aligned with client needs.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimize processes and analyze resource requirements across locations, proposing solutions. Travel for assignments abroad as needed. Foster knowledge sharing within the group and contribute proactively to team spirit.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager with a strong background in Investment Banking or M&A advisory. A proven track record in transaction advisory or corporate finance is essential, along with robust experience in M&A research.
Expertise in preparing pitch books, industry and company research, opportunity papers, Information Memorandums, and financial models is required. A solid understanding of valuation principles and financial statement analysis, coupled with strong financial research and analytical skills, is crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
Proficiency with research databases such as Capital IQ and OneSource is expected. The ability to efficiently source relevant information and manage time effectively against project budgets is key. Candidates should possess an MBA, PG Diploma in Finance, CFA Level 3, or CA qualification, with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
Exposure to AI/Tech tools like Copilot, VBA, Power BI, Think-cell, or SharePoint would be a significant advantage.
