Join EY's M&A team as an Assistant Manager and provide critical tactical and strategic advice to clients navigating inorganic growth, synergy realization, market entry, divestitures, and capital raising. You will support clients from pre-deal stages through closing, identifying opportunities, preparing materials, and conducting valuations. Our diverse client base includes mid-sized corporations, multinational investors, Private Equity firms, and family offices across various industries.
As an integral part of the EY GDS M&A Team, you will deliver M&A Advisory services to Global SaT leaders, manage client interactions, and build relationships with onshore leadership. You will oversee the entire M&A deal lifecycle, from origination to closure, including screening, proposals, pitch books, industry research, valuation, and preparing opportunity papers and Information Memorandums. This role involves creating financial M&A models, leading a team of 3-4 individuals, mentoring team members, and identifying their learning needs. You will also drive service excellence by measuring, monitoring, and improving client satisfaction, ensuring quality delivery as per client needs, and collaborating with project leaders on resource planning.
We seek an Assistant Manager with robust experience in Transaction (M&A) Advisory or Corporate Finance. Essential skills include strong research capabilities in M&A, expertise in preparing pitch books, industry and company research, opportunity papers, information memorandums, and financial models. A solid understanding of valuation principles and financial statement analysis is required, alongside strong financial research and analytical abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. Proficiency with research databases like Capital IQ, One Source, Factiva, and Reuters is expected. You should be adept at sourcing relevant information efficiently, managing time effectively against budgets, communicating progress, promoting knowledge sharing, and maintaining organized task completion. Contributing proactively to team spirit is also key. Candidates must possess an MBA or PG Diploma in Finance, or equivalent, with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience.
