The EY-Parthenon Quality team plays a vital role in upholding quality, consistency, and accountability across engagements. Our Engagement Quality Review Testing process scrutinizes completed engagements to ensure adherence to internal policies and processes, including client acceptance, conflicts of interest, independence, third-party risk management, and reporting. We aim to deliver consistent quality outcomes across all our projects.

This Assistant Manager 1 position within EY-Parthenon Quality supports the Europe Central region. The ideal candidate possesses robust risk management and policy interpretation skills, complemented by a practical grasp of EY-Parthenon service offerings such as Strategy, Due Diligence, Valuation, Business Modelling, Operational Turnaround, and Restructuring. This role is integral to evaluating compliance with firm policies and risk management mandates, assessing engagement evidence, identifying quality risks, and providing actionable insights to enhance the Quality Review Process (QRP).

This role involves supporting the comprehensive execution of Quality Reviews for EY-Parthenon engagements throughout Europe Central. Key duties include assessing engagement documentation against QRP requirements, firm policies, and risk management standards. You will evaluate compliance with critical areas such as engagement acceptance, conflicts management, independence, contracting, approvals, and documentation protocols.

Reviewing Engagement Agreements (EAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and client deliverables is essential to ensure alignment with agreed scope and expected outcomes. The role requires identifying documentation gaps, quality concerns, and potential risk indicators, escalating issues as necessary. Preparing clear, evidence-based findings, concise review summaries, and executive updates for leadership are also core responsibilities.

You will engage with engagement teams, reviewers, and senior stakeholders to gather necessary clarifications and supporting evidence. Maintaining complete audit trails, workpapers, and supporting documentation is paramount. Furthermore, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, refining methodologies, templates, guidance, and review practices to elevate the Quality Review Process.

We are seeking candidates with a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience in risk management, quality, compliance, internal audit, controls, or engagement management. Experience within a Big 4 or similar professional services environment is highly preferred.

Essential knowledge includes engagement acceptance, contracting, independence, documentation controls, and quality review processes. Prior experience collaborating with cross-border teams and engaging with senior stakeholders in a global context is valuable. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are required, with a proven ability to craft concise, executive-ready reports.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is necessary. Familiarity with reporting and workflow management tools would be advantageous.
