As a Manager in Data Engineering, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing advanced data solutions for our clients across various industries. This role is crucial for supporting both cloud and on-premise analytics projects, driving innovation, and solving complex business challenges through technology.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to conceptualize, develop, and maintain sophisticated technology solutions. You will collaborate closely with technical architects, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful data warehousing and integration solutions using cutting-edge tools. Your expertise will shape modern data architectures and data marts, ensuring robust ETL processes for impactful decision analytics.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and selecting appropriate data warehousing tools for business intelligence and data management in both on-premise and cloud environments. You will leverage strong working knowledge across the technology stack, including ETL, ELT, data analysis, metadata, and data quality. Design, develop, and test ETL workflows, and create comprehensive design documentation, including data mapping and technical specifications.

Provide technical guidance to data warehouse and business intelligence developers, and coordinate with other technology users on data governance, cloud implementation, privacy, and security. Ensure adherence to ETL/Data Warehouse development best practices, and manage data orchestration, ingestion, ETL, and reporting architecture. Assist the team with performance tuning for ETL and database processes.

A minimum of 9 years of total experience is required, with at least 6 years focused on Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence. You should possess solid hands-on professional experience in creating and implementing data warehouses, along with strong knowledge of data architecture for staging and reporting schemas.

Significant experience with on-premise to cloud migrations on major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is essential, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Azure database offerings and 2+ years in relevant Azure services like Azure Data Factory, Kafka, and Azure Synapse Analytics. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on database design, modeling, and integration experience with relational data sources is also necessary.

Proficiency with business intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar is expected. You should have a strong understanding of BI and DWH best practices, along with experience in the software development lifecycle (SDLC). A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in computer science or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Excellent problem-solving, technical, and communication skills are vital. The role requires a minimum of 10-12 years of relevant work experience in a consulting setup.
