This role focuses on Decision Modelling & Economics (DME) within our VME team, offering a chance to excel in financial modeling and client engagement.

Lead a team of financial modelers, overseeing model development and review. Manage client relationships across the MENA region and actively participate in business development. Serve as the primary point of contact for onshore teams during project execution. Mentor and guide a team of 3-5 professionals, fostering their career growth. Develop and review financial models for strategic planning, feasibility studies, capital allocation, transaction support, M&A, investment appraisal, and financial reporting. Ensure model accuracy through detailed review of arithmetical and logical flows.

Identify issues and propose procedural strategies. Stay updated on relevant business and economic developments. Motivate diverse teams and foster a collaborative environment. Demonstrate strong technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Cultivate long-term client relationships and identify new business opportunities. Innovate service delivery through new tools and techniques, acting as a leader in their adoption. Collaborate closely with other Strategy and Transaction teams and the wider firm.

To qualify, a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Professional certifications like CA, CFA, CPA, or an MBA from a premier institute with a strong academic record are advantageous. We require 5-8 years of relevant work experience, preferably with a venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, or national accounting firm, with prior financial modeling practice being a plus. Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis, robust financial modeling skills, and the ability to create innovative, flexible financial model solutions are necessary. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire for continuous personal and professional development are key.

Successful candidates will manage engagements, including team workflow, client interactions, service quality, and budget adherence. Providing best-practice financial modeling guidance to team members to ensure high-quality deliverables is expected. Proficiency in MS Excel with VBA, along with general PC skills in Word and PowerPoint, is required. Availability for 20-40% travel and commuting within the region to other GDS locations as needed is also anticipated.
