Within the Transaction Support and Execution (TSE) team, we provide comprehensive, operationally focused support and advice to clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, assisting both buyers and sellers. Our expertise spans a broad spectrum of operational considerations, including divestiture advisory, carve-out readiness, operational due diligence, synergy assessment, day-one readiness, 100-day planning, integration support, and cost reduction strategies. Our professionals engage in transactions and business development activities worldwide.
Take the lead in project execution, demonstrating strong capabilities in synergy assessment, project management, problem resolution, and facilitation. Cultivate relationships with EY offices globally, understanding regional practices and ensuring high user satisfaction with engagement processes and deliverables. Actively participate in business development, including crafting compelling presentations for client and internal pursuit meetings. Support the execution of carve-out and integration plans, continuously seeking opportunities for enhancement and resolving integration challenges. Develop comprehensive work products that document engagement procedures against defined objectives. Manage client engagement teams delivering TSE services, supporting key decision-makers in executing transaction strategies to maximize deal value. Provide project guidance and mentor a team of TSE professionals, conducting timely performance reviews and fostering professional development through effective feedback and training. Identify new business development avenues and collaborate with Partners and Senior Managers on proposals and opportunities.
A postgraduate degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science, or a related field from a premier institution is essential, coupled with 5-7 years of relevant industry and/or consulting experience. A solid understanding of the M&A life cycle, including pre- and post-deal carve-out/integration and cross-border M&A, is required. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is necessary. A willingness to travel internationally for business needs is expected.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with the M&A life cycle, business carve-out/integration post-transaction announcement, and cross-border M&A is crucial. Prior exposure to the Energy or Life Sciences sectors is advantageous. Possess strong financial analysis skills derived from pre- and post-deal transactions, with the ability to connect detailed operational insights to P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet impacts. Develop insightful sector and company analyses aligned with the EY Capital Agenda approach. Exhibit the capacity to identify risks and opportunities, synthesize complex carve-out and integration challenges, and adapt readily to new challenges and innovative ideas. Excellent problem-solving, project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, alongside robust written and verbal communication abilities, are key to success.
