As an Assistant Manager in EYP M&A, you will provide critical tactical and strategic advice to clients. Your role will involve guiding them through inorganic growth, realizing synergies via acquisitions, expanding into new markets, divesting businesses, and raising or restructuring capital. You will support clients across the entire deal lifecycle, from pre-deal preparation through to closing. This includes identifying M&A opportunities, preparing client materials, pinpointing acquisition targets or buyers, performing transaction valuations, and developing business plans. Our diverse client base spans various industries, including mid-sized corporations, multinational investors, Private Equity firms, and family offices.

As a key member of the GDS M&A sector practice, you will deliver M&A advisory services to Global EYP leaders. Lead client interactions, manage delivery, and foster strong relationships with EYP Global Sector leaders, requiring direct coordination with onshore PPEDs, SMs, and Ms.

You will navigate the complete M&A deal lifecycle, from origination to closure. This encompasses transaction screening, proposal development, pitch book creation, industry research, precedent transaction analysis, comparative company valuation, opportunity paper drafting, and Information Memorandum preparation.

Develop sophisticated financial (M&A) models and lead a team of 1-2 individuals, acting as a mentor and identifying development needs for your counselees. Measure, monitor, and enhance client service by collaborating closely with clients and guiding your team to drive service delivery excellence.

Direct your team's focus towards key priorities while managing multiple medium-sized projects. Ensure team members consistently deliver high-quality service aligned with client needs and priorities. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to refine processes and collaborate with project leaders to assess resource needs and gaps across locations, proposing effective solutions.

A strong background in Transaction (M&A) Advisory or Corporate Finance is essential, coupled with substantial research experience in M&A. You should be adept at preparing compelling pitch books, conducting in-depth industry and company research, crafting opportunity papers, and developing Information Memorandums. Expertise in financial modeling is crucial.

Possess a solid understanding of valuation principles and financial statement analysis. Demonstrate strong financial research and analytical skills, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Familiarity with research databases such as Capital IQ and OneSource is required. You must be proficient in sourcing information effectively from relevant resources.

Manage your time efficiently against budgets and provide clear progress updates. Actively promote knowledge sharing within the group and maintain an organized, structured approach to task completion. Contribute proactively to building a positive team spirit.
