This position requires deep expertise in HL7 FHIR, openEHR, and HL7 v2 standards. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and validating scalable interoperability solutions. The ideal candidate will not only contribute individually but also play a key role in solutioning, technical design, guiding teams, and engaging with stakeholders.

As a Senior Healthcare Interoperability Specialist, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of robust healthcare interoperability solutions. Your work will involve utilizing HL7 FHIR, openEHR, and HL7 v2 standards to create efficient healthcare data exchange workflows. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining openEHR templates and archetypes, performing complex data mappings and transformations, and ensuring interface compliance.

You will also drive solutioning and technical design discussions for interoperability use cases. This includes defining data flows, transformation logic, and validation strategies. Collaboration with technical, business, and clinical stakeholders is crucial. Furthermore, you will mentor team members, review deliverables for quality, and manage project progress, risks, and outcomes. Staying abreast of evolving industry standards and best practices is essential.

To excel in this role, you should possess 3-5 years of experience in healthcare IT, with a strong emphasis on interoperability. Essential technical skills include hands-on experience with HL7 FHIR, openEHR, and HL7 v2 standards, alongside proficiency in healthcare data modeling, transformation, and integration workflows. Practical experience in designing and maintaining openEHR templates and archetypes is required.

Your background should include experience in testing and validating healthcare interfaces and APIs. You should be comfortable participating in or leading technical solutioning and design discussions. Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is necessary. While basic programming or scripting knowledge is preferred, Java expertise is a significant advantage. An educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field is expected. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree and certifications in relevant standards.
