Interface testing, API validation, payload checks, and compliance adherence are also integral parts of this role. Furthermore, you will actively participate in solutioning, technical design, and architectural discussions for complex interoperability use cases, defining data flows, transformation logic, and integration strategies. Collaborating effectively with technical, business, and clinical stakeholders, both internal and external, is essential to ensure accurate implementation. You will also guide and mentor team members on interoperability best practices and review deliverables for quality and standards compliance. Tracking project progress, risks, and outcomes, and staying abreast of the latest industry standards and best practices will be ongoing requirements.
A minimum of 8-10 years in the healthcare IT sector, with a significant emphasis on healthcare interoperability, is required. Essential hands-on experience includes HL7 FHIR, openEHR, and HL7 v2 standards. Strong proficiency in healthcare data modeling, transformation, mappings, and integration workflows is expected. Practical experience with designing and maintaining openEHR templates and archetypes, alongside expertise in mapping healthcare data across various formats and systems, is vital. Experience in testing and validating healthcare interfaces, APIs, messages, and payloads is also a must. Proven ability to contribute to or lead technical solutioning, design discussions, and implementation planning, as well as guiding team members and reviewing technical work, is necessary. Familiarity with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL is beneficial. Basic programming or scripting knowledge, particularly Java, is a plus. An educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related discipline is required.
