This role focuses on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise for Big Data cloud implementations. Key responsibilities include designing and building data pipelines and architectures using GCP services like BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Functions.

You will leverage streaming and messaging technologies such as Pub/Sub and Apache Kafka on GCP. Proficiency in Spark, PySpark, and Scala for big data processing is essential, alongside experience with software version control and CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, and Cloud Build.

Responsibilities also encompass architecting scalable data warehouse solutions, integrating technical components, and applying strong analytical skills with deep SQL knowledge. Experience with MapReduce, Spark, or Dataflow jobs for large-scale data processing is required, along with familiarity in data modeling concepts and working with Big Data ecosystems.

To excel in this role, a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more key areas is required. We are seeking individuals with 4+ years of experience in large-scale data warehousing and 7+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of data warehouse architectures, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting tools.

A strong background in data modelling concepts (4+ years) and development experience in Python and/or Java (3+ years) is necessary. Additionally, 3+ years of experience working with Big Data ecosystems like Hadoop and Spark is crucial.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must. We also look for candidates who are flexible, proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative team players capable of working independently under pressure. A relevant GCP certification or other professional technical certifications in cloud and data engineering is highly desirable.
