Design and implement large-scale optimization models for strategic mine planning, addressing intricate scheduling, blending, and capacity problems. Develop and maintain models using linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and network/flow-based techniques. Define and integrate constraints related to capacity, sequencing, blending, costs, and boundaries. Tune optimization solvers and rigorously diagnose issues with infeasibility, performance, and stability. Validate model outputs through comprehensive testing, cross-checks, and alternative formulations. Collaborate closely with product and domain teams to translate business requirements into robust optimization solutions. Take ownership of solution correctness and confidently justify optimization outputs to stakeholders.

A strong foundation in Operations Research, Optimization, and the mining industry is essential. Demonstrate practical experience with linear programming and mixed-integer programming in production environments. Proven hands-on expertise with commercial solvers such as Gurobi, AMPL, and Maroma. Experience handling large, complex datasets and optimizing performance-critical problems. Proficiency in Python for model development and integration is required. Familiarity with large-scale optimization problems is a key requirement for this role.
