EY's GDS Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Modeler to join our dynamic AI and Data team. This role is within our industry-focused business unit, providing integrated services leveraging deep industry expertise, functional and technical capabilities, and product knowledge. We serve leading financial institutions and capital markets participants, driving better business outcomes through robust analytical practices embedded at the core of client decision-making.

Your core responsibilities will involve utilizing advanced tools and techniques to analyze data collection, update, storage, and exchange processes. You will be instrumental in defining and implementing data modeling and design standards, best practices, and development methodologies. Key tasks include designing, reviewing, and maintaining data models, performing data analysis to capture requirements, and visualizing them. You will manage the entire data model lifecycle, from initial requirements to ongoing maintenance, collaborating closely with data engineers to optimize physical data models and identifying opportunities to leverage data for business improvements.

We are seeking candidates with 8-10 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in hands-on data modeling. Proficiency with data modeling tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, ER Studio, or Toad is essential, alongside strong SQL knowledge. Basic ETL understanding, including data mapping and transformation, and solid data warehousing concepts are required. While not mandatory, data visualization, data quality, and data profiling skills are advantageous. A computer science degree or equivalent is necessary, along with experience in Agile delivery environments. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in software development best practices, and excellent debugging and optimization abilities. Experience with enterprise-grade solution implementations, the ability to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions, and full lifecycle solution delivery experience are crucial. Excellent written and verbal communication, along with client management skills, are also key.
