We are looking for a seasoned Techno-Functional Data Consultant with deep expertise in Insurance Data Management, Data Modelling, Business Analysis, Reporting & Analytics, and Data Migration. You will serve as the crucial link between business stakeholders and technical teams, transforming business needs into robust, scalable data solutions for operational, analytical, and reporting purposes.

The position demands practical experience in Data Vault modelling, dimensional modelling, data analysis, reporting tools, and insurance data domains. Prior experience within the UK Insurance Market is highly valued.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with business users and technical teams to gather and document data requirements, conducting workshops to understand business processes, and translating these into functional specifications and data models.

You will perform data profiling, gap analysis, and source-to-target mapping, analyze complex datasets to identify quality issues and transformation needs, and define business rules and reconciliation requirements.

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, including enterprise data models and dictionaries, with a focus on Data Vault 2.0, Dimensional Modelling, and Canonical Data Models. You will also gather reporting and dashboard requirements, design analytical datasets, and support the development of BI solutions.

Furthermore, support large-scale data migration programs by developing mapping specifications, defining migration rules, and validating data, working closely with Data Engineering and Integration teams.

Mandatory skills include strong Insurance Domain Expertise encompassing Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Finance, Customer Management, Broker Management, and Reinsurance. You must possess robust Data & Business Analysis skills, with expertise in data mapping, profiling, validation, and a solid understanding of data governance and quality frameworks.

Data Modelling experience is essential, with a minimum of 5 years in Data Vault 2.0, Dimensional Modelling, Relational Data Modelling, and Data Warehousing Concepts, using tools like ERwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, Visio, or Lucidchart.

Experience with reporting and BI tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik Sense/QlikView, or SSRS is required. Advanced SQL proficiency is mandatory, alongside a strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT Processes, Data Integration, APIs, and Data Interfaces.

Familiarity with databases like SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Azure SQL, and exposure to cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP are necessary. While not mandatory, experience within the UK Insurance market is highly desirable.
