We are looking for an experienced Manager with a strong background in Insurance Data Management, Data Modelling, Business Analysis, and Analytics. You will lead critical data transformation projects, manage key stakeholder relationships, and provide expert guidance on enterprise-scale data solutions. This position demands a combination of consulting acumen, delivery leadership, robust data architecture understanding, and hands-on Data Vault modelling skills.

As a Functional Data Modeller & Analyst, you will drive data strategy and ensure excellence in delivery. Your responsibilities include managing client engagements, mentoring teams, and supporting business growth within EY's Data and Analytics practice. Key duties involve leading requirements workshops, building stakeholder relationships, and offering strategic recommendations on data platforms and migration approaches.

You will also lead end-to-end data transformation and migration programs, manage workstreams, and mitigate risks to ensure timely and quality delivery. Business analysis will encompass translating requirements into functional specifications and data models, alongside defining data quality controls and driving data-driven insights. Furthermore, you will establish enterprise data governance standards, manage metadata, and support data strategy initiatives.

Additional responsibilities include leading reporting and analytics requirements, designing reporting datasets, and facilitating self-service BI. You will also develop source-to-target mappings for data migration, manage migration governance, and collaborate with integration teams. People leadership, including mentoring and contributing to practice development through reusable assets and thought leadership, is also a crucial aspect of this role.

Essential requirements for this role include strong Insurance Domain Expertise, with a solid understanding of insurance business processes and data structures, including Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, and Reinsurance.

Mandatory Data Modelling experience is critical, requiring a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on expertise in Data Vault 2.0, Dimensional Modelling, Relational Data Modelling, Data Warehousing, and Enterprise Data Architecture. Proficiency with at least one modelling tool such as Erwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, or Lucidchart is expected.

You should also possess hands-on experience with reporting and BI tools like Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Qlik Sense. Technical skills include advanced SQL, a strong grasp of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, Data Integration, APIs, and experience with databases like SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is also necessary.

Overall, we are seeking candidates with 10-15 years of experience in Data Consulting, Data Management, Business Analysis, Data Migration, and Analytics, with at least 7 years focused on Data Vault 2.0 implementation. Proven experience leading large-scale data transformation and migration programs, particularly within the UK Insurance market, is highly desirable.
