We are searching for a skilled Techno-Functional Data Consultant to expertly connect business needs with technical solutions, particularly within insurance data transformation and migration projects. The ideal candidate will excel in data analysis and modeling, possess a strong grasp of insurance business processes, and be adept at translating requirements into actionable data strategies. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring high-quality data across strategic insurance platforms.

Drive business and functional analysis by collaborating with stakeholders to understand processes and data requirements. Elicit, document, and validate functional needs, assessing the impact of changes on data assets. Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams, facilitating workshops.

Perform in-depth source-to-target data analysis and mapping. Analyze complex datasets to identify and resolve data quality issues, inconsistencies, and transformation needs. Support data governance initiatives, defining data lineage, business rules, and migration/reconciliation rules.

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, creating ERDs and data dictionaries. Define data structures and relationships to support operational and analytical requirements, ensuring alignment with target data architecture. Work closely with ETL, Data Engineering, and Development teams to ensure accurate implementation of data models.

Demonstrate expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, utilizing tools like ERwin, ER/Studio, or Visio. Possess a deep understanding of relational databases and data architecture principles. Showcase experience in creating enterprise data models and dictionaries.

Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance business processes and data, with experience in policy, customer, claims, or underwriting data. Proven ability in requirements gathering, business analysis, and stakeholder management, translating business needs into technical specifications.

Possess robust data analysis skills using SQL (mandatory) and related tools. Have hands-on experience with data profiling, quality assessment, and mapping, as well as data migration projects. Understand data governance and master data management principles. Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik is essential. Experience in dashboard design, KPI definition, and self-service reporting solutions is required.

Familiarity with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and data warehousing/ETL concepts is necessary. Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms is beneficial.

Experience in the UK Insurance market, including General Insurance, London Market Insurance, Syndicate, and MGA environments, is advantageous. Ideally, you will also bring strong project management, client management, and solutioning skills.
