EY seeks a Data Acquisition Category Manager to drive strategic sourcing, vendor relationships, and lifecycle management of data assets. This role is pivotal in supporting EY's vision of becoming the world's leading AI-powered professional services firm by ensuring robust data management and acquisition strategies.

The Category Manager will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Procurement, and other global functions to meet enterprise data needs efficiently and compliantly. This position is crucial for unlocking the full potential of EY's data to fuel innovation and deliver exceptional client service.

Develop and execute comprehensive category plans informed by business demand, market insights, and EY's data strategy. Manage the entire lifecycle of assigned data vendors, including evaluation, onboarding, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. Lead commercial negotiations and renewals, ensuring strict adherence to licensing, intellectual property, privacy, and usage requirements.

Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Risk teams to optimize commercial terms, enhance cost transparency, and conduct detailed financial analyses like TCO and ROI. Translate complex business requirements into clear data specifications, matching use cases to appropriate data sources. Ensure all sourcing activities comply with EY's data governance, licensing, and risk management standards, maintaining accurate inventories and providing regular category-specific reporting.

Candidates should possess experience in data management, data supply chains, vendor management, or procurement within a global organization. A deep understanding of the third-party data marketplace, including key providers like LSEG, S&P, IDC, and Gartner, is essential. Proficiency in licensing models, IP, and usage rights is required.

Demonstrated skills in negotiation, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration are key. Strong analytical abilities are needed to evaluate data products and competitive landscapes. A Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is necessary, with Power BI proficiency being a plus.
