EY GDS is seeking experienced Azure Data Solution Architects to join their Data and Analytics team. This role involves leveraging data and technology to solve complex business challenges across various industries like Banking, Insurance, Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Finance. Key responsibilities include developing standardized practices for Big Data and cloud solution delivery, encompassing data acquisition, transformation, analysis, modeling, governance, and management. You will engage with senior client technology leaders to understand business goals, propose solutions, estimate efforts, build architectures, and deliver technology solutions. This involves defining client-specific data management best practices within cloud environments, recommending design alternatives for data ingestion, processing, and provisioning layers, and developing programs for both batch and real-time data ingestion using technologies like ADB, ADF, PySpark, Python, Synapse, Apache Kafka, and Spark Streaming. Experience in team management and end-to-end delivery, along with building technical capabilities, is crucial.

To excel in this role, a strong understanding of cloud ecosystem components and architectural concepts, along with distributed computing paradigms, is essential. You should have hands-on programming experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Python, PySpark, and SQL. Expertise in cloud services from AWS and/or Microsoft Azure is required, complemented by a solid grasp of ETL methodologies, data modeling, and data governance within a multi-tiered stack. Experience in converting business challenges into technical solutions, considering security, performance, and scalability, is also a key requirement. A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Azure data and AI solutions, and a minimum of 10 years of industry experience, are necessary qualifications.
