This role is part of the National TAX team, focusing on Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) and Advanced Compliance & Reporting (ACR) in Chennai.

Key responsibilities include performing accounting activities across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger. You will support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger review. The role also involves preparing financial statements, coordinating audit requirements, and preparing data for TDS returns and GST filings. You will also prepare MIS reports, identify and resolve accounting exceptions, and maintain documentation to meet quality and timeline expectations.

To excel in this role, a strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices is essential. Experience with AP, AR, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and closing processes is required. You should have basic knowledge of financial statements and experience supporting audits. Strong working knowledge of TDS and GST compliance is crucial, along with familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in client interaction, requirement clarification, and query resolution is also necessary. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail are vital. The ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a self-driven and adaptable approach, is expected. Flexibility to support critical deliverables during peak periods is also key.
