Lead multiple engineering PODs to deliver high-impact platform capabilities across Rental and Digital ecosystems. This role demands a blend of strategic leadership and execution oversight, ensuring team alignment with both long-term architectural goals and immediate delivery commitments.

Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Operations leaders to refine systems supporting end-to-end rental workflows, counter operations, customer journeys, and mobile experiences. Guide teams through critical decisions like modernizing legacy systems, adopting microservices and event-driven patterns, and optimizing system performance at scale.

Mentor engineering leaders, review architectural decisions, resolve cross-team dependencies, and ensure consistent best practice adoption across cloud platforms, CI/CD, observability, and security. Engage with executive stakeholders to provide visibility into delivery progress, risks, and investment priorities, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across globally distributed teams.

Define and drive a long-term technology vision and platform strategy aligned with business growth, operational scalability, and customer experience objectives. Oversee multiple engineering domains (backend, frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps), ensuring seamless integration across RAC and Digital platforms.

Spearhead large-scale transformation initiatives, including legacy system modernization, microservices and API adoption, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka). Lead organizational design, hiring, and development for Senior Managers, Architects, and Tech Leads. Establish robust governance frameworks for architecture standards, security, compliance, and engineering quality.

Partner with Product and business stakeholders to shape roadmaps for rental workflows, pricing systems, customer journeys, and mobile platforms. Own key engineering KPIs such as delivery velocity, system reliability, performance SLAs, and cost efficiency. Manage budgets, capacity planning, vendor relationships, and resource allocation. Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and engineering excellence. Represent engineering leadership in executive forums, customer discussions, and partner engagements.

A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. Possess 15+ years of combined technical and management experience in software development and leading engineering organizations.

Demonstrate deep intellectual curiosity across the entire technology stack, with broad experience in backend, frontend, mobile, QA, and DevOps practices. Showcase a proven track record of setting strategy, driving execution, and successfully delivering complex, large-scale programs.

Exhibit exceptional people leadership, coaching, and change management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire high-performing teams. Possess expert communication skills, enabling credible interaction at all business levels and with external partners. Strong financial acumen, including hands-on experience with budgeting, resource planning, and P&L management (where applicable), is essential.
