This role is within the National Assurance team, specifically focusing on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS). Assurance's purpose is to inspire confidence and trust, serving the public interest by promoting transparency, supporting investor confidence, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients by ensuring compliance with audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders.

Manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing effective solutions. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while managing client accounts. Clearly explain complex accounting and financial reporting issues in a straightforward manner. Demonstrate an advisory mindset, capable of developing client solutions with support from subject matter experts.

Possess specific financial reporting experience in areas such as transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs, demergers, restructuring), IPO preparation (including listing rules in India/UK/US), complex consolidations in MNC environments, tax planning, and technical training. Expertise in specific topics like revenue recognition, financial instruments, off-balance sheet financing, consolidations, and industry-specific accounting (banking, insurance) is highly valued.

Regular travel is anticipated for client meetings.

A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional certification (e.g., CPA, ICAEW, ACCA) is required, along with a strong academic record, ideally with first or second-time passes. Candidates must have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

Possess strong expertise in IGAAP, IFRS, and/or US GAAP financial reporting, preferably gained within large companies, audit/advisory, transaction services, or MNC finance/M&A environments. The ability to simplify complex accounting issues and an advisory mindset for developing client solutions are essential. Business development skills are important, with a proven track record expected for senior roles.

Key skills include strong project management abilities and excellent communication skills. Experience in specific financial reporting areas like transactions, IPOs, complex consolidations, tax planning, technical training, revenue recognition, financial instruments, off-balance sheet financing, and industry-specific accounting is crucial.
