This role is within our National Assurance unit, specifically focusing on Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) in Mumbai. Our Assurance division inspires confidence and trust by serving the public interest, promoting transparency, and nurturing future business leaders. We assist clients in ensuring their accounts meet audit standards, providing clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering vital information to stakeholders.
Our service offerings encompass External Audit, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), IFRS & US GAAP conversions, IPO support, and Corporate Treasury – IFRS 9 accounting and implementation.
Key responsibilities include managing and executing FAAS projects, developing and implementing solutions, and identifying business opportunities. You will be expected to manage client accounts and possess the ability to articulate complex accounting and financial reporting issues in a clear and understandable manner.
Develop solutions for clients with the support of technical subject matter experts, demonstrating an advisory mindset. Specific financial reporting experience is required in areas such as transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs, demergers), IPO preparation, complex multinational consolidation structures, tax planning, and technical training development.
Additional areas of expertise include revenue recognition, financial instruments, off-balance sheet financing, consolidations and SPEs, banking, and insurance. Regular travel to meet with key clients will be a part of this role.
To qualify for this role, you must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or possess an equivalent certification such as CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA. A strong academic record, including first or second-time passes for ICAI or equivalent examinations, is essential.
You will need significant experience (1-3 years post-qualification) in IGAAP, IFRS, or US GAAP financial reporting, ideally within complex/large companies, audit/advisory, transaction services, or multinational finance/M&A environments.
Demonstrate the ability to simplify complex accounting and financial reporting issues and showcase an advisory approach to developing client solutions. Business development skills are also important, with a proven track record expected for senior-level applicants. Strong project management and excellent communication skills are a must.
