Join our National Assurance team in Mumbai as an Executive in Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS). This role is part of sector-agnostic teams focused on providing comprehensive financial accounting and advisory support across various industries. We aim to inspire confidence and trust by ensuring compliance with audit standards, offering clear perspectives to audit committees, and delivering critical information to stakeholders.
Our FAAS offerings include external audit, financial accounting advisory, IFRS & US GAAP conversions, IPO support, and corporate treasury services like IFRS 9 implementation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing team.
Manage and execute FAAS projects, developing innovative solutions to meet client needs. You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while managing existing client accounts.
A key aspect of this role involves clearly explaining complex accounting and financial reporting issues to clients. You will leverage an advisory mindset to develop practical solutions, collaborating with technical subject matter experts when necessary.
This position requires specific financial reporting experience in areas such as transactions (acquisitions, carve-outs, demergers), IPO preparation, complex multinational consolidations, tax planning, or delivering technical training. Experience with specific topics like revenue recognition, financial instruments, off-balance sheet financing, consolidation, and more is also valuable.
Regular travel to meet with key clients will be a component of this role.
To excel in this role, you must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or hold an equivalent certification such as CPA, ICAEW, or ACCA. A strong academic record, including passing professional exams on the first or second attempt, is expected.
You should possess robust experience in IGAAP, IFRS, and/or US GAAP financial reporting, ideally gained within complex or large organizations, audit firms, advisory services, transaction advisory, or multinational corporate finance/M&A departments. A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant post-qualification experience is required.
Excellent communication skills are essential, enabling you to simplify intricate accounting and financial reporting matters. A proactive, advisory mindset is crucial for developing client-centric solutions. Depending on the level, business development aptitude is important, with a strong track record expected for more senior applicants.
Proficiency in project management and specific financial reporting topics such as transactions, IPOs, complex consolidations, tax planning, or technical training is highly desirable. Familiarity with revenue recognition, financial instruments, and other specialized areas is also beneficial.
