EY is seeking an Executive to join our Statutory Audit team. This role involves conducting various audits to assess business activities, systems, and controls.

You will identify accounting and auditing issues, perform substantive testing, and document all work performed as per the audit plan. This position also includes identifying areas for improvement in control systems and presenting audit findings and recommendations to management. Maintaining statutory books of accounts, reconciling receivables and payables, and finalizing accounts are also key aspects of this role.

Key responsibilities include performing operational, financial, process, and systems audits. You will identify and resolve accounting and auditing issues in discussion with the audit in-charge. Executing substantive testing in line with the audit plan and maintaining thorough documentation is essential. This role also involves identifying improvements to internal controls and procedures, and presenting clear audit reports with actionable recommendations. You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining statutory books of accounts, performing reconciliations, and finalizing accounts.

The ideal candidate is a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of experience. Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards is a must, along with prior experience in statutory audit assignments. You should be adept at prioritizing tasks across multiple assignments and comfortable managing ambiguity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as is clarity of thought and assertiveness. Good presentation skills, a proactive and results-oriented approach, and the ability to meet deadlines are also required. You should be a strong team player.
