Join Google's Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team, a vital unit dedicated to protecting and enhancing Google's global operations. GSRS encompasses a wide range of functions, including Regional Security Management, the Global Security Operations Center, Security Technology, Physical Guarding, Aviation, Executive Protection, Event Resilience, Investigations, Intelligence and Threat Analysis, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Supply Chain Risk.

As a member of GSRS, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture where safety, security, and resilience are integrated into every aspect of Google. Your role will involve continuously identifying, evaluating, and monitoring enterprise risks that could impact business activities, providing critical insights to business leaders for informed decision-making. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to developing innovative strategies and programs that ensure sustainable effectiveness.

This role offers the opportunity to work in dynamic locations such as Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, or Gurugram, Haryana, India, contributing to the safety and security of Googlers and managing disruptive events with a focus on anticipation, deterrence, detection, and action.

Spearhead the planning, coordination, and management of complex, large-scale security operations for both internal and public-facing Google events. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to pinpoint potential threats and vulnerabilities, considering event specifics, location, attendees, and historical incidents.

Develop detailed security plans encompassing access control, crowd management, and robust emergency response procedures. Design and implement effective training programs to ensure all staff are proficient in event-specific security protocols and emergency response.

Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors, law enforcement agencies, and private sector counterparts. Be prepared to work flexible schedules, including extended hours and weekends, and travel domestically and internationally as required.

Oversee substantial long-term security budgets for events and vendor support teams. Proactively identify and manage event security risks by leveraging full GSRS assessments and current intelligence. Compile and present detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and key learnings.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, coupled with a minimum of 5 years in managing security operations. Proven experience in working effectively with vendors is essential.

Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience managing security for medium to large-scale internal and public events. Experience conducting thorough investigations into criminal, human resources, and safety incidents is highly valued. Familiarity with security technologies such as CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems will be advantageous.

Additionally, experience liaising with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services is beneficial. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with exceptional acumen, discretion, and diplomacy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, alongside the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment, are critical for success in this role.
