Translate complex Informatica mappings and business rules into dbt models using SQL on Snowflake. Design and implement robust data layers (staging, core, mart) following dbt best practices.

Develop comprehensive dbt tests to ensure data quality and integrity. Implement advanced dbt features like snapshots, seeds, and macros for reusable components. Collaborate with developers to optimize data structures for efficient dbt model performance.

Ensure functional consistency between legacy ETL processes and new dbt outputs. Participate in performance tuning of dbt models and Snowflake queries. Integrate dbt into CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

Contribute to the documentation of dbt models, data lineage, and business rules. Actively engage in defect analysis, bug fixing, and enhancements during migration and stabilization phases.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehousing, with at least 2 years specifically working with dbt (Core or Cloud). Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.

Demonstrated experience with dbt concepts including models, tests, sources, seeds, snapshots, macros, and exposures. Prior hands-on experience with Informatica, including a developer-level understanding of mappings and workflows, is highly advantageous.

Familiarity with CI/CD practices and integrating dbt into automated pipelines. Solid understanding of data modeling principles, such as dimensional models, SCDs, and fact/dimension design. Experience working effectively in offshore delivery environments with onshore coordination.

Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to comprehend existing ETL logic and requirements documentation.
