Join our Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team, dedicated to safeguarding Googlers and managing critical incidents. We foster a culture where safety, security, and resilience are paramount across all Google operations. Your role will involve identifying and assessing enterprise risks, providing essential information for informed decision-making, and collaborating on innovative strategies to enhance sustainable effectiveness.

This position focuses on the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) cluster, requiring a proactive approach to risk mitigation and worker protection. You will play a key part in developing and implementing robust safety programs within research, lab, and office environments.

Develop and implement effective safety solutions tailored to R&D, lab, and office settings based on thorough risk assessments. Oversee the creation and maintenance of procedures, program documentation, and digital tracking systems to ensure scalability of safety initiatives. Collaborate with facilities and security teams to seamlessly integrate safety protocols into daily campus operations. Conduct regular site safety and health audits and risk assessments, generating comprehensive reports for leadership. Lead incident investigations, manage response efforts, and support tactical exercises, ensuring campus-wide adherence to EHS regulations and company standards.

A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) is essential. Preferred qualifications include relevant EHS licenses or certifications (e.g., Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional). Experience managing campus operations with a focus on compliance, research labs, permitting, employee safety, and emergency management is highly valued. Proven ability to manage complex, concurrent projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment, coupled with strong analytical and technical skills, including proficiency with AI tools.
