Join our team as an experienced SAP EWM AMS Consultant, instrumental in providing comprehensive Application Maintenance and Support (AMS) for a sophisticated global warehouse network across North America and Europe. This role is crucial for maintaining seamless warehouse operations across numerous factories and distribution centers.
You will be responsible for supporting both SAP EWM 9.4 and SAP S/4HANA EWM 2023 environments. The focus is on ensuring system stability through expert incident management, proactive problem resolution, vigilant monitoring, efficient change management, and a commitment to continuous service improvement.
This position demands deep functional and technical expertise in SAP EWM, exceptional troubleshooting capabilities, strong integration knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a demanding 24x7x365 global business setting.
Provide comprehensive L1, L2, and L3 support for SAP EWM applications across various warehouse sites. Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes effectively using ServiceNow. Analyze and resolve production issues swiftly within SLA parameters, supporting critical warehouse functions like inbound processing, inventory management, picking, packing, and outbound shipping.
Conduct proactive application monitoring, resolve system alerts, and oversee interfaces, queues, and background jobs. Reprocess failed queues and integration messages, and troubleshoot RF devices and warehouse mobility solutions. Coordinate with infrastructure teams during planned maintenance windows to ensure minimal disruption.
Contribute to change and release management by supporting deployments across all environments, participating in release planning, and executing regression testing. Ensure successful change implementations with a zero-rollback objective. Support and monitor crucial integrations between SAP EWM and other systems, including SAP ECC/S4, SAP OTM, and various warehouse automation solutions.
Perform thorough root cause analysis for recurring incidents, maintain the Known Error Database (KEDB) and knowledge articles. Drive initiatives for incident reduction and service enhancements. Create and maintain essential documentation, including Functional Specifications (FS), Technical Specifications (TS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and test cases. Support audit, compliance, and access management activities.
A minimum of 5 to 12 years of dedicated SAP EWM support experience is required, with a proven track record in AMS environments supporting global warehouse operations and multi-site facilities.
Hands-on expertise with SAP EWM 9.4 and SAP S/4HANA EWM is essential, alongside strong exposure to warehouse automation and integration technologies. You should have experience managing production support, deployments, testing, and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) within SLA-driven support frameworks.
Required technical proficiencies include SAP EWM modules (Warehouse Process Management, RF Framework, Inventory Management, Yard Management, Quality Management, Wave Management, Labor and Resource Management), various SAP integration technologies, warehouse automation systems, PLC integrations, ASRS, AGVs, and third-party warehouse systems. Familiarity with debugging, troubleshooting, queue monitoring, SQL, MOCA, and interface monitoring is also necessary.
