If you are passionate about low-latency, high-volume, and highly available systems, and thrive on working with scalable backend and data-intensive platforms, this opportunity is for you. You will contribute to systems handling massive transaction volumes, ensuring secure access to backend services at a global scale.
This role demands strong technical leadership and execution. You will drive the architecture and design of high-performance backend systems, guiding teams in developing services with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs. Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, and REST-based services, along with experience in microservices and event-driven architectures, is required. A solid understanding of data storage systems (RDBMS/NoSQL) and data access patterns is necessary.
Familiarity with messaging platforms like Kafka, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native development is important. You should possess a strong grasp of system reliability, observability, and performance tuning, coupled with excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Experience mentoring engineers and leading teams is a core requirement for this role. All individuals are expected to uphold Mastercard's security policies and practices.
