Lead a critical engineering team focused on Information Retrieval (IR) systems and the Data Filtering Platform Infrastructure in Bengaluru. You will operate at the intersection of scale, reliability, and complex regulatory demands, enabling innovation across Google while ensuring safety.

The Core team is responsible for the technical bedrock of Google's most significant products, owning design elements, developer platforms, and infrastructure. As a leader within this team, you will drive innovation, resolve technical challenges, and strengthen existing systems, impacting key technical decisions company-wide.

Drive technical strategy and roadmaps, collaborating closely with engineers to overcome complex infrastructure scaling challenges.

Manage staffing and resource allocation across product areas to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant training data infrastructure.

Collaborate effectively with Search Trust and Safety stakeholders to align on requirements and best practices.

Guide engineers in optimizing their code and ensure the team's overall ability to optimize complex systems.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Possess 8 years of software development experience in languages like Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript.

Demonstrate 3 years of experience in a leadership capacity, whether technical, people management, supervision, or team leadership.

Have 3 years of experience developing tools that enhance development velocity, code quality, or overall code health.
