Lead the development of Google's GPay Merchant Platform as an Engineering Manager. This role involves guiding a team of talented engineers, contributing to product strategy, and driving technical innovation within a rapidly evolving fintech landscape. You will play a key role in shaping the future of commerce for millions of users and merchants globally.

Build and lead a high-performing engineering team in a dynamic environment. Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering counterparts to conceptualize and develop innovative features from inception. Define and execute engineering strategies and roadmaps to deliver impactful solutions for GPay Merchants.

Drive innovation, challenge existing assumptions, and solve complex problems to provide the best possible outcomes for our merchants. You will oversee the deployment of large-scale projects and ensure their successful international rollout.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, along with at least 8 years of software development experience in languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript. Significant experience in a technical leadership role (3+ years) and people management (2+ years) is essential.

Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant technical field, 5 years of experience in complex, matrixed organizations, and a strong background in systems engineering practices like incident response, monitoring, SLOs, and change management.
