Build, nurture, and expand a high-performing engineering team, managing all aspects of hiring, performance reviews, and professional growth.

Define the architectural vision for the Play Pass back-end infrastructure, multi-surface clients, and promotional engines.

Collaborate closely with product management, marketing, UX, and data science teams to deliver compelling features, execute successful campaigns, and build scalable infrastructure for product expansion.

Establish architectural standards through active participation in design reviews. Mentor engineers on complex, cross-team dependencies and foster leadership within the team.

Effectively manage organizational interdependencies and maintain clear communication channels with leadership across Google Play.

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required, alongside 8 years of software development experience.

Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development is essential, with 3 years of experience covering back-end technologies like Java, Python, Golang, or C++, and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.

Proven experience in technical leadership is necessary, with a minimum of 3 years in such a capacity. Additionally, 2 years of experience in people management or team leadership is mandatory.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, 3 years of experience in complex, matrixed organizations, and experience with data analytics and Android applications.
