Rippling is seeking a visionary Senior Engineering Leader to spearhead our new Spend organization in Bangalore. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to establish our Bangalore hub from its inception, building and mentoring a high-performing team of managers and individual contributors. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of Rippling's finance suite by owning the development of our accounting integration platform.

As Site Lead, you will be the senior engineering representative for Spend in Bangalore, fostering a culture of excellence, removing roadblocks, and ensuring seamless product and engineering execution across reimbursements, travel, and accounting integrations. As the direct owner of the Accounting Integrations team, you will architect and deliver a scalable platform and essential integrations (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft). Your responsibilities include establishing repeatable pipelines, developing operational tooling, and maintaining a high-quality standard for all integration releases.

Key duties involve building the Bangalore hub by hiring and developing over 25 professionals, implementing essential operational rituals, and defining quality and velocity tracking mechanisms. You will also manage managers and individual contributors, mentor emerging leaders, and ensure operational excellence through robust support and observability systems.

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Leader with a minimum of 5 years in engineering leadership, including at least 2 years managing managers or large, multi-team groups. Proven success in 0 to 1 and scaling environments, delivering highly reliable and high-throughput platforms or integrations, is essential.

Candidates must possess strong technical depth in distributed systems, APIs, webhooks, and data modeling, with a keen operational mindset for building resilient systems. Exceptional people leadership skills, including talent acquisition, accurate leveling, and performance management, are required. A strong product sense to translate ambiguous requirements into tangible outcomes is also crucial. Prior experience with accounting/ERP systems, travel content providers, or financial data flows is a plus.
