This role focuses on maintaining data integrity and smooth operations within our data systems. You will be responsible for acknowledging and investigating incidents, performing data repairs, and collaborating with various teams to resolve data issues. Ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery is paramount.
Key responsibilities include validating data refreshes, monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), and managing user access. You will also participate in on-call rotations to provide support outside of regular business hours and contribute to documentation for root cause analysis and educational materials.
Respond promptly to incidents, conduct initial root cause analyses, and execute data repair tasks.
Route incidents to appropriate support teams, including Global Digital L2, TALM, EHC, PET, and P&C.
Analyze queries and validate data, providing specific repair clauses for data issues to application teams via JIRA.
Validate data refreshes and ensure metric accuracy. Monitor SLAs and follow up with users to ensure timely resolution.
Manage access-related operations, such as adding users to SSC security groups, and provide pager duty support outside office hours. Document RCAs and data repair procedures.
A strong understanding of data engineering and visualization concepts is essential. Proficiency in SQL is a must.
Experience with Snowflake and Power BI data modeling is required, along with an understanding of ADF and Kafka pipelines. Familiarity with dynamic tables and medallion architecture is beneficial.
Demonstrated hands-on experience with JIRA, ServiceNow, and Confluence is expected. On-call readiness and a solid grasp of ITIL fundamentals, including incident, change, and problem management, are crucial.
Familiarity with observability concepts, Datadog, Python, Notebooks, Power BI, and AI fundamentals is advantageous. Experience with support optimization tools and reconciliation reports is a plus.
