Join our dynamic Finance team in Chennai as a Deputy Manager for MIS. This role is integral to the Deloitte South-East Asia CFO's organization, reporting to the Manager - Business Finance. You will be a key player in the MIS and Group Reporting functions, overseeing Accounting Operations and transforming raw data into strategic financial insights.
Prepare comprehensive financial and management reports, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to stakeholders. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packs, including global requirements. Develop insightful MIS reports and dashboards. Actively participate in month-end close activities, including accrual and prepayment estimations, financial data validation, and analytical reviews.
Conduct detailed variance and expense analyses, alongside WBS-wise, Profit Centre-wise, and Cost Centre-wise performance assessments. Perform and review profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations, and manage inter-firm billing and settlement transactions. Review and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing crucial financial inputs and analysis. Review receivables and Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances, monitoring key working capital metrics like DSO. Support statutory audits by preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with auditors, ensuring timely closure of queries and implementation of recommendations.
Collaborate effectively with Accounting teams, business units, and global stakeholders, providing operational finance support across cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in finance operations, accounting, MIS reporting, project accounting, and managed services finance. A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, financial controls, revenue recognition, and audit support processes is essential.
Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint for practical application is required, along with hands-on experience in ERP systems like SAP. Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to detail, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for clear and concise interactions.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting is crucial. Experience working with global stakeholders and within a matrix organization is advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in core Finance and accounting operations within the BPO/ITES sector.
