You will be instrumental in setting up and configuring advanced emulation platforms, ensuring the emulated system mirrors final product behavior accurately. This role focuses on virtual platform modeling using Simics, enabling pre-silicon validation of firmware, drivers, and operating systems. You will leverage Simics capabilities for efficient debugging and troubleshooting, isolating issues across software, firmware, and hardware models. Performance analysis and the automation of simulation runs and test scenarios using Python scripting are key aspects of this position.

Develop, debug, and maintain functional simulation models for IP-level or full-system platforms using Simics. Run firmware, drivers, and operating systems on virtual platforms for pre-silicon hardware validation. Utilize Simics for debugging and troubleshooting, identifying failures in software, firmware, or hardware models. Analyze system performance and optimize simulation efficiency. Automate simulation runs, regressions, and test scenarios with Python/Simics scripting. Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and software teams to verify system-level functionality.

A minimum of 2-6 years of experience in pre-silicon verification, simulation, or emulation is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience specifically with Simics or similar virtual platform technologies like QEMU or SystemC is essential.

Strong proficiency in Python for automation and scripting, alongside C/C++ for modeling, is necessary. Deep understanding of computer architecture, including CPUs, memory controllers, and IO protocols, as well as OS concepts, is expected. Excellent debugging skills, with experience using debuggers like GDB/Simics Debugger to analyze low-level interactions, are crucial. The role requires a candidate with 15 years of full-time education.
