Join our team as an Emulation Engineer and play a crucial role in validating hardware designs and accelerating software testing before tape-out. You will be responsible for setting up and configuring advanced emulation platforms like Zebu, Veloce, and Palladium. Your work will ensure the emulated system accurately reflects final product behavior, directly impacting time-to-market for complex chip designs.
Set up and configure emulation platforms (Zebu, Veloce, Palladium) for hardware design validation and software testing acceleration. Debug issues and execute extensive test scenarios to ensure emulated system accuracy. Collaborate with design and verification teams to optimize performance and reduce time-to-market. Develop, debug, and maintain functional simulation models using Simics. Run firmware, drivers, and operating systems on virtual platforms for pre-silicon validation. Utilize Simics capabilities for debugging and troubleshooting interactions between software, firmware, and hardware models. Analyze system performance and optimize simulation efficiency. Automate simulation runs, regressions, and test scenarios using scripting languages.
A minimum of 3 years of experience is mandatory, with 4-6 years preferred in pre-silicon verification, simulation, or emulation. Proficiency with simulation tools such as Intel Simics or similar virtual platform technologies is essential. Strong understanding of computer architecture (CPU, memory controllers, IO protocols) and OS concepts is required. Demonstrated programming skills in Python for automation and C/C++ for modeling. Excellent debugging skills using tools like GDB and analyzing low-level software/hardware interactions. A full-time education spanning 15 years is a prerequisite for this role.
