Join Amazon's Silicon & Systems Group and contribute to the core technology powering Fire TV and other Amazon devices. This role focuses on developing the secure software that safeguards premium content, integrating industry-standard DRM systems (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay) and HDCP link protection. You will work with trusted-application code within a TrustZone/OP-TEE Trusted Execution Environment, managing cryptographic keys and collaborating with silicon, multimedia, and partner teams to bring features from concept to production.

This is a hands-on engineering position with significant ownership. Your contributions will be at the most critical, security-sensitive layers of the software stack, directly impacting the quality of content delivery to customers.

- Design, implement, and maintain DRM and content-protection software for embedded Arm platforms. - Develop trusted applications and secure-world components, including applied cryptography and secure key handling. - Implement and validate secure device and factory provisioning flows. - Integrate DRM stacks with the media pipeline and certify content playback with streaming partners. - Debug complex, cross-layer issues and resolve performance/security defects. - Participate in security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and compliance certifications. - Create clear design documents and contribute to engineering standards.

- Minimum 5 years of embedded firmware development experience. - Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - Experience with Arm SoC bring-up, secure boot, or security co-processor firmware. - Hands-on experience with TrustZone, OP-TEE, or other Trusted Execution Environments and trusted-application development. - Familiarity with embedded Linux and low-level software (drivers, firmware, system services). - Experience debugging intricate issues across firmware, kernel, and user space using tools like JTAG or gdb.
