Join a dynamic team focused on building innovative consumer products within the Alexa ecosystem. This role offers the chance to own and develop crucial firmware components, spanning device frameworks, network stacks, over-the-air updates, controllers, drivers, and low-level wireless systems.
You'll contribute to multiple Echo devices, leveraging your strong command of Linux and RTOS. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with engineering leaders, technical managers, and cross-functional teams including hardware, operations, applications, platform, and quality assurance.

Contribute to the architectural design and development of scalable, reliable new and existing systems. Develop and implement embedded firmware using C/C++. Integrate robust metrics and debugging tools to continuously enhance solutions. Develop and optimize software for Linux and RTOS platforms. Apply professional software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features and resolve customer issues. Refine existing drivers, stacks, memory usage, and application code to meet specific requirements. Work with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software architecture.
Possess 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience. Demonstrate proficiency in embedded development with C/C++. Exhibit strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis. Have experience in areas such as cameras, sensors, or associated algorithm development. Showcase experience in embedded software design, development, and debugging, preferably on ARM-based platforms. Familiarity with RTOS and embedded Linux development is essential. Experience with board-level development is required.
