As an EEDP Hardware intern, you will be assigned a summer project tailored to various facets of GE HealthCare's operations. Your responsibilities may encompass:

- Power electronics development - Embedded systems design and implementation - Radio Frequency (RF) design - Electronic schematic and layout creation - Mechanical design using Creo software - Rapid prototyping of new components and systems - Performing design analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) - Addressing thermal management challenges - Contributing to reliability engineering efforts - Executing design verification testing

To be considered for this internship, you must be a current undergraduate student continuing in an accredited degree program beyond the summer of 2027. You should be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering, with a strong focus on hardware. Exceptional communication skills are essential, allowing you to clearly articulate complex technical issues. A proven track record of analytical ability and demonstrated technical competence in hardware engineering is required. Strong initiative, coupled with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, is crucial. Previous leadership experience is a plus. Relocation assistance and housing stipends are available for those moving to the greater Milwaukee/Waukesha, WI; Aurora, OH; or Salt Lake City, UT areas. A commitment to working for a minimum of 10 consecutive weeks is expected. Previous internships or co-op experiences in hardware or design, a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and a genuine passion for design in healthcare technology are considered preferred qualifications.
