As an EEDP member, you will undertake challenging, hands-on engineering assignments that drive innovation and support key business objectives. Expect to:
- Develop cutting-edge technologies across various healthcare domains through three 8-month rotations. - Learn the complete product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final production, ensuring customer needs are met. - Enhance core engineering and design skills via practical projects and an advanced technical training curriculum. - Cultivate leadership abilities through structured courses, team projects, and corporate learning initiatives. - Benefit from dedicated guidance by technical mentors and assignment leaders to foster both technical proficiency and interpersonal skills. - Contribute to the entire product development process, from ideation to post-market analysis, deepening expertise in areas like software development tools (Java, Python, MATLAB, C++, UNIX/Linux). - Participate in and lead committee activities to expand influence and contribute to program and company enhancements.
To be considered for this opportunity, you should:
- Have completed a Bachelor's degree by July 2027. - Possess a strong engineering design focus, with preferred majors including Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science. - Demonstrate proven technical problem-solving abilities. - Exhibit excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts and influencing team decisions. - Show demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and adaptability in fast-paced environments. - Be willing to relocate to the Waukesha, WI area, with potential for relocation to other GE HealthCare sites for program assignments (relocation assistance will be provided). - Possess a genuine passion for making a significant impact through meaningful work.
Preferred qualifications include a GPA of 3.0 or higher, prior internship or project experience in relevant technical fields (hardware/software design, digital systems, AI, etc.), experience in regulated industries or healthcare, and demonstrated project management skills. Software-focused candidates should have experience with object-oriented design and languages like Java, Python, or C/C++. Hardware-focused candidates should have knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and CAD/simulation tools.
