Key responsibilities include driving technical excellence and ensuring operational efficiency. You will be instrumental in business development for payroll services, leading client engagements, and managing teams to deliver high-quality payroll and compliance services.

This role involves supervising client deliverables, managing team performance, and ensuring consistent quality. You'll interact directly with clients to understand their needs, manage expectations, and address concerns. Meeting agreed-upon Service Level Agreements for Turn Around Time (TAT) and accuracy is paramount. Furthermore, you will be responsible for reviewing and executing quality deliverables, effectively managing escalations, and providing guidance and coaching to team members.

People responsibilities encompass resolving team concerns, delegating tasks effectively, and developing team members for career advancement. You will manage resource allocation, attrition, and people-related issues under pressure, while providing robust solutions and functional guidance.

To excel in this role, you will need substantial experience in business development for payroll services, coupled with very strong communication and interpersonal skills. A self-driven and motivated approach is essential, particularly in a target-oriented setting, along with logical and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 14 years of experience in service industries, with extensive client-facing roles and core payroll management expertise. Strong presentation, Excel, and analytical skills are required. A thorough understanding of payroll functions and all related statutory compliances, such as Provident Fund, Salary TDS, Profession Tax, ESI, and Labour Welfare Fund, is crucial. Familiarity with the recent Labour Codes is also necessary.

While not mandatory, Big-4 experience and knowledge of India payroll are considered advantageous. An educational background with a Master of Commerce or Master of Business Administration is required.
