Lead and cultivate multiple engineering teams, including managers and senior technical leaders, fostering an inclusive and accountable engineering culture. Define engineering direction aligned with product priorities, architectural standards, and operational goals. Drive delivery outcomes across a portfolio of services, expertly balancing customer commitments, technical investments, and capacity. Establish measurable standards for quality, automation, reliability, and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, and Security teams to address priorities and mitigate delivery risks.
Communicate portfolio status, risks, trade-offs, and key decisions to senior leadership. Drive excellence in hiring, coaching, succession planning, and career development for your teams. Ensure resilient and operable solutions are built from the outset, with a strong focus on operational readiness.
We are seeking a seasoned leader with proven experience managing managers and multiple software engineering teams. A strong background in large-scale, highly available platforms and modern software engineering practices is essential. Familiarity with technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, cloud-native delivery, CI/CD, and observability is required. You must possess the ability to translate business strategy into actionable engineering plans and organizational priorities.
Experience in Agile delivery environments and across the full software development lifecycle is crucial. Exceptional communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are necessary. The role requires the ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience, is a prerequisite. Experience in payments or financial services is a plus.
