We are seeking a Director of Software Engineering to drive our customer experience strategy through continuous innovation and problem-solving. This role operates within a framework of Digital Network Architecture, Cloud Native principles, and Scaled Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for the customer journey, intellectual curiosity, analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Lead the management of new product development initiatives and oversee end-to-end solution and product architecture. Formally supervise and mentor multiple software engineering teams, ensuring effective planning and business execution of goals. Provide strategic leadership for specific applications, systems, and software development methodologies. Utilize expertise in Java and Spring Framework, guiding multiple teams to success. Demonstrate excellent data management skills and apply knowledge of AI and scalable implementations. Offer continuous guidance on career growth, development standards, and delivery best practices. Coordinate effectively with various Mastercard groups to ensure project success. Maintain and present project metrics for management review, leading initiatives for automation, defect reduction, and overall quality improvement. Manage cross-location team coordination and recommend strategic direction and policy changes. Address operational and business concerns related to future programs and enhancements to ensure consistent quality service delivery.

Manage 2-4 software engineering teams, comprising 10-12 individuals each, from product conceptualization through to implementation. Possess in-depth experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot. Exhibit expert understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies. Demonstrate high energy, a detail-oriented approach, proactivity, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority demands while driving consistent results. Possess effective people and technology leadership skills, with experience in online, real-time application development and CI/CD practices. Have a track record of involvement and leadership in quality initiatives. Experience with PCF, Microservices, and DNA is advantageous. Showcase excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities, with a capacity to guide teams in implementing optimal solutions.
