Rippling is seeking a Director of Product to spearhead our Global Tax Platform. This critical role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, explainability, and reliability of our tax systems as Rippling expands globally and into enterprise markets.

The Global Tax Platform is responsible for the end-to-end management of tax calculations, filings, and payments worldwide for both employees and contractors. This includes developing innovative solutions like Tax Foundry, an AI-enabled engine for tax calculation and policy, and ensuring seamless agency communications and reconciliations.

Our mission is to eliminate tax surprises for customers and prevent reactive firefighting for the team during filing seasons. We are committed to building robust, explainable, and enterprise-ready tax solutions.

As the Director of Product, you will define and execute the vision for the Tax Platform, overseeing global calculation, filing, payment, and reconciliation processes. You will lead a team of Senior Product Leads, driving improvements in accuracy, payment timeliness, data quality, and customer self-service.

Key responsibilities include making strategic decisions about Tax Foundry, developing configurable workflows to reduce operational reliance, and collaborating closely with Engineering, Tax Ops, CX, Payroll, Compliance, Legal, and GTM teams. You will serve as a senior product leader in Bangalore, working in tight alignment with our San Francisco leadership.

We are looking for a seasoned product leader with at least 12 years of experience, including a proven track record of leading senior individual contributor Product Managers across multiple teams. Ideal candidates possess experience managing complex, multi-surface platforms with significant regulatory or financial intricacies.

This role requires a strong systems thinker capable of operating at strategic, architectural, UX, and execution levels. You should demonstrate exceptional cross-functional leadership, a high degree of ownership, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in payroll, tax, accounting, or fintech is highly beneficial. Alignment with our leadership principles, such as 'Go and See' and 'Are Right, a Lot,' is also valued.
