Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team in Bengaluru, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Drive AI-assisted development, automation, and verification initiatives to accelerate delivery and enhance software quality.

Collaborate closely with product management, program management, and other leaders to translate customer needs into engineering priorities. Partner with various GE HealthCare businesses to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration and reuse.

Influence product roadmaps, technical strategy, and architectural decisions. Develop engineering talent through strategic hiring, mentoring, and establishing global operating models and standards. Ensure software solutions meet stringent customer satisfaction, security, regulatory, and operational excellence requirements.

Communicate technology strategies, progress, risks, and recommendations effectively to executive leadership and stakeholders. Uphold GE HealthCare's quality standards and actively participate in quality management systems.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM field is required, with an MBA or equivalent business experience being a plus. Minimum of 10 years in engineering leadership or management roles, ideally within healthcare or high-growth tech sectors, is essential.

Demonstrated experience in translating customer feedback into actionable engineering solutions, with strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like C++ and deep understanding of software engineering principles. Experience leading complex software products through the entire lifecycle, from architecture to production support, is crucial.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills are necessary. A strong understanding of ultrasound technologies, healthcare workflows, and regulatory environments is highly desirable. Experience with global product releases, NPI processes, and regulatory standards like ISO and FDA is a significant advantage.

Proven ability to foster a high-functioning team environment, employing strategic and analytical thinking to solve complex problems. A bias for action, coupled with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results, is key to success in this role.
