EY is looking for a skilled AI Ethics & Governance Expert to join our GDS Assurance Digital team. This role is vital for ensuring our AI and data practices align with the highest ethical standards and regulatory requirements. As an AI Governance and Policy Specialist, you will conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential ethical, legal, and reputational challenges associated with AI usage.

You will lead efforts to obtain internal AI certifications for our AI products and stay abreast of evolving AI regulations, ensuring continuous compliance. Collaboration with internal teams, including engineers, data scientists, and product managers, will be key to embedding AI governance principles throughout the development lifecycle.

Your role involves monitoring and auditing product compliance with AI policies, developing metrics to gauge the effectiveness of governance initiatives, and clearly communicating complex AI governance issues to diverse audiences. You will champion ethical AI development and foster a culture of continuous learning regarding AI regulations and compliance within the organization.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, Law, or a related field combining technology and law is required. We are seeking candidates with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.

Essential technical skills include a strong understanding of AI ethical considerations and risks, familiarity with major AI regulations and compliance requirements, and knowledge of data science, machine learning, and Generative AI concepts. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills are crucial, alongside robust project management capabilities.

Additional qualifications include a keen interest in politics and legislation related to data and AI, familiarity with data governance frameworks, and exposure to law practices. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is expected.
