EY seeks a GDS Digital Engineering Leader for the Industrial & Energy (I&E) sector. This pivotal role is designed to accelerate strategic growth and deepen GDS integration within I&E accounts. The objective is to transition from a fragmented, competency-focused delivery approach to a more integrated, engineering-centric solution model.

Key industries served include oil & gas, petroleum refining, renewable energy, utilities, and power generation. These clients are actively pursuing transformation programs that encompass legacy system modernization, cloud-native engineering, digital plant and operations upgrades, industrial data platforms, product engineering, and cyber-resilient solutions. This role is crucial for capturing this expanding market demand at scale.

This position involves developing and executing a robust I&E-aligned Digital Engineering strategy and Go-to-Market plan, tailored to the specific challenges and regulatory landscapes of sub-sectors. A core focus will be increasing GDS's involvement in significant deals and RFPs, thereby enhancing win rates and delivery confidence through specialized engineering solutions and compliance expertise.

The leader will be responsible for building repeatable engineering capabilities and assets that directly support I&E outcomes such as operational reliability, safety, energy efficiency, cost reduction, and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, this role will drive improvements in delivery quality, predictability, and cost-effectiveness through standardized engineering governance.

Essential functions include cultivating strong relationships with I&E sector leaders, account teams, and member firm stakeholders to influence pursuits and foster growth. The role mandates driving a solution and Field of Play-based operating model for I&E engineering offerings and building a core team proficient in industry insights and best practices.

Ensuring GDS participation in major technology and transformation deals is critical. This includes leading client presentations to showcase EY/GDS engineering capabilities, assets, innovation, and delivery governance. The leader will also host I&E clients and CxOs at GDS to highlight engineering studios, accelerators, and delivery excellence.

Developing right-shoring models to leverage offshore and nearshore strengths for improved cost and speed, while upholding delivery quality, is a key responsibility. Establishing strong delivery governance, encompassing engineering excellence, estimation discipline, risk controls, and predictable delivery metrics, is paramount. The role also requires building and scaling a core team and leadership bench across key capability pods and ensuring all engineering solutions and delivery practices adhere to industry-specific regulatory, safety, and cybersecurity standards.

Financial performance of the I&E digital engineering portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management, aligned with strategic growth objectives, falls under this role's purview. Collaboration across EY GDS, member firms, and enablement functions will be essential to resolve complex client issues. The role requires presenting multiple solution options and guiding clients toward outcome-based engineering roadmaps, applying creative, pragmatic, and technology-driven approaches to overcome engineering modernization challenges.
